H Singh Ltd is a management and business consulting firm that specializes in helping small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs). It may surprise you to know that, there are about 31,000 medium sized and only about 7,000 large sized businesses in the UK. According to Government data released in October 2013, 99.9% of private sector businesses are SMEs and they collectively employ more than 14 million people, contributing almost 60% of private sector employment and their combined turnover is estimated to be almost 1600 billion pound. On the whole SMEs constituted nearly 60% of all private sector employment and contributed nearly 50% of private sector revenue in the United Kingdom. Most of these businesses were created by people who envisioned an opportunity to develop a new product or service, and pursued that vision in search of independence and financial reward. While these people started with solid ideas to form the foundation of their new ventures, most do not have many of the skills necessary to transform their ideas into reality.
